- is a high quality thin layer substance diluted in water.
Insulating abilities are based on vacuum sphere beads which reflect more than 80% of heat radiation . It is an ideal material for inner wall insulation.
Q-THERM prevents cold from penetrating into a room and heat from escaping a room.
It is an ideal material thermal insulation of exterior walls of flats, panel houses buildings.
This works by increasing the surface temperature of the wall and increasing energy savings in combination with thermoregulation of heating systems. Testing has proven that it is possible to reduce your heating costs by 25% or more.
Q-THERM characteristics:
- Breathable and washable
- Non - flammable
- Prevents condensation caused by water vapour and the appearance of mould.
- Can be applied on treated surfaces using a spittle or by coating or spraying.
- Easy coverage with great adhesion. The product can be easily adjusted on hardening
- Colours can be adjusted to your requirements.
An ideal material for inner wall insulation:
- for construction, mainly in panel buildings, not thermally broken walls, thermal bridges, parts of walls
- behind heating elements where condensation and mould can appear from water vapour.
- for listed buildings where standard insulation materials are unsuitable.
Greater control within general housing and commercial properties allowing for rapid increase in temperature when required.
A perfect material for inside insulation:
- for construction, mainly in panel buildings, not thermally broken walls, thermal bridges, parts of walls
- behind heating elements where condensation and mould can appear from water vapour.
- for listed buildings where standard insulation materials are unsuitable.
- Greater control within general housing and commercial properties allowing for rapid increase in temperature when required.
Area of application:
- lime-cement coating, concrete, plaster, plasterboard,
- prefabricated panels, wood,
- metal surfaces,
- glass
How to apply:
Apply Q-therm interior to firm, dry and clean surfaces.
It is applied by a spittle to conditioned surfaces, by spraying or coating. According to the type of application Q-therm is diluted in water in given proportion.
It can be applied with a spittle, spray gun or roller.
Efficiency:
- For spraying or coating 1 mm layer, 1 litre of substance, aprox. 1 sqm (2 layers of coat)
- For application with spattle or roller 1 mm layer, the usage is 1 litre of substance aprox.1 sqm.
Parameters of the material:
- level of gloss : mat
- grain: fine
- thermal conductance: λ= 0,0196 W / m.K
- adhesiveness to base: 0,8 Mpa
- diffusion resistance: 30
- min. layer thickness: 0,5 mm
- dilution: water
- temp. of environment during application:
- from + 5 ºC to +65 ºC
- supplied in: 5 l
- coating guarantee: 5 years
- min. coating durability: 15 years
- heat resistance: -40ºC to +150ºC without loss of stated characteristics
Efficiency:
- For spraying or coating 0,5 mm layer, 1litre of substance, aprox. 2 sqm
(2 layers of coat)
- For application with spattle or roller 1 mm layer, the usage is 1 litre of substance aprox.1 sqm.
Q-THERM can be applied to interior surfaces such as cement-lime plasters, concrete, gypsum plasters, plasterboard, prefabricated panels, wood and its by-produkts, metal surfaces, glass and many other and everywhere it is necessary to achieve thermalinsulation and it is possible or suitable to use other materials and application procedures
(e.g. buildings with valuable facades where it is not possible to carry out external jacketing with insulating materials etc.)
It is excellent for preventing condensation on a wall surface. Thus for preventing the formation of fungi. It is also suitable for rooms with high humidity. Other advantages: warmth of walls to the touch, improved thermal comfort in the room and, thus, more even heat distribution, breathability of the applied material. The applied product withstands a temperature rangeof +150oC to -40oC without losses of the declarated properties. It will secure great energy savings in periodically or short-term heated buildings such as chalets, cottages, booths, garages, offices, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, authorities, and flats. In a very short time after the start of heating you will achieve thermal comfort in the room thanksto the increased surface temperature of the walls, thereby preventing the feeling of the walls. It is also very suitableas internal thermal insulation into moderately heated factory buildings and as insulation of hot and cold pipes.
The screed does not smell, it is not harmful to health and does not exude any chemicals substances when it dries out.
Application:
A recommended application layer of at least 0,5 mm up to maximum 1mm. The preferred method of application is screeding. In application by spraying with a spray gun it is necessary to observe the nominal operating overpressure of 5 bat – data on the pressure gauge. A higher value may cause damage to the structure of the filler used and losses of the declared properties of Q-THERM. It is applied to hard, dry and clean surface. When it is used onto existing coatings I is necessary to degrease the surface and provide it with a bonding primer.
If more coatings are already applied on the surface, they must be removed. Level roughness and cracks by means of levelling screed. We recommended STUCCO UNI screed. Prior to application to a non-absorbent base a bonding bridge must be created by means of a bonding primer. We do not recommended applying it to walls insufficiently insulatedagainst rising damp. After it becomes dry the surface can be lightly reground, painted with water-dilutable paints.
Prior to application the compound can be directly tinted into any colour shade by adding water-dilutable tinting colours, but to a maximum of 10% of the weight. It is not subject to agenging. Cover the remaining of unprocessed material in the original bucket by placing a random clean plastic covering directly onto the surface of the material and close it properly with the original lid. In this way it will keep for for at least a year provided that the storage conditions are satisfied.
Thinning: The product is intended for direct application by means of sreed. According to the method of application and for easy application you can carefully thin it with water as necessary. Thoroughly and carefully stir it manually or with a stirrer at very low revolutions so that the structure of the filler is not disrupted!
Drying time: A 0.2mm layer at a temperature of 20oC for ca. 2 hours. A 1mm. layer at a temperature of 20oC for approx. 5 hours. Complete maturing: 24 hours.
Consumpion: Depending on the perfection of the prepared surface.
Spraying and coating – thickness 0.5mm.: 1litre/1.5m2. Screed – thickness 1mm: 1 litre / 1m2.
Storage: In dry enclosed spaces in original intact cointainers at a temperature of +2oC up to +25oC. It must not be exposed to direct solar radiation and the intense action of heat.
Safety precautions: When handing and working with Q-THERM we recommended using suitable work clothes, gloves, and protective glasses. Contaminated eyes should be immediately flushed with a copious amount of water and treated with boric acid. Acid work it is necessary to wash the skin with water soap and treat it with a suitable cream. Must not freeze.
